Highway Engineer/Designer

Robert Peccia and Associates (RPA), a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Highway Engineer/Designer to join our Helena or Bozeman Montana office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of highway, street, and road projects for federal, state and local agencies. This position requires at least three years of experience in transportation design.  The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of street and highway design and able to work independently and as part of a design team.

 

RPA is also seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer/Designer to join our Helena, Montana office. Candidate is expected to have zero to three years of experience and capable of working as part of a team to develop transportation facility designs. The individual will work on a variety of projects throughout the Northwest with an emphasis on Montana.

 

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Bridge Engineer

RPA is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Bridge Engineer to join our Helena office. The successful candidate will primarily assist our highway team but will also complete standalone bridge projects. Candidate must be client focused and able to market for and secure work. The position offers the opportunity to establish and grow a Bridge Design department.

 

This position requires a minimum of five years of experience, preferably in the areas of MDT / FHWA and other bridge design. A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and a Professional Engineers or Structural Engineers license in the state of Montana is required.

 

Desired qualifications include:

• Experience in Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) bridge design

• Established working relationship with the MDT.

• Proficiency in current bridge design software

• Proficiency with MicroStation/GEOPAK software

Structural Engineer

RPA is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, forward-thinking structural engineer to join our Structures Group in our Bozeman Montana office. The right candidate will help expand our practice, which works to provide excellent design and service to a multitude of clients with very diverse project types. The Structures Group also support RPA’s other Groups which consists of traditional civil engineering services and Landscape Architecture. This individual will work closely with RPA’s structural engineering staff to: perform design calculations, draft related reports, design and draft plan drawings, provide construction inspection, assist with specification, and structural detail development.

This position requires two to five years of experience, in the area of structural engineering.  A Master's degree in structural engineering is required. It is a full time salaried position. RPA works on projects throughout the United States, with a focus on projects in Montana and the northwest region.

 

Required qualifications include:

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills. The job requires preparing and delivering presentations in a variety of settings, as well as writing various memorandums and reports. This includes the ability to express and exchange ideas and to communicate technical analyses to a non-technical audience.

• Effective interpersonal skills and a collegial, team approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams and various project constituencies, including advocacy groups and citizen, community and neighborhood organizations.

• Technical skills in structural engineering, technical writing and experience in project management.

• Experience in Revit Structural and FEM.

• Engineering building structures with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

• EI registration is required, but a PE registration is preferred.

Landscape Architect - Intern

Robert Peccia and Associates (RPA), a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented Landscape Architect Intern to join our Fort Collins Colorado office on a part-time / temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Landscape Architects in preparing and assembling illustrative graphics and detailed drawings for a wide variety of projects and clients. This position requires at least two years of exposure to Landscape Architecture through an accredited school and/or practical experience.  The candidate is expected to have a good understanding of the basics of Landscape Architecture and have experience with several software systems including, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe In Design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, Word, Excel as well as the ability to communicate ideas in plan and perspective by hand-drawn techniques.  The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a design team.

• Two years of Landscape Architecture undergraduate experience.
