JOB OVERVIEW

ROBERT PECCIA & ASSOCIATES (RPA) is looking for a mid-level Civil Engineer to join our Site Development Group. In the position, you will work on diverse municipal projects for private, public, and government clients, including colleges, military facilities, urban centers, schools, and various residential and commercial developments.

What to Expect in the Position

In this role, you’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on innovative site development solutions. You’ll address the unique challenges of each project, conducting site analyses, design calculations, and project planning. Your expertise will be crucial in creating safe and efficient designs that enhance site access and circulation for vehicles and pedestrians.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting site analyses to evaluate topography, drainage, utilities, and adjacent land use.
  • Performing design calculations and develop project plans for a variety of clients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement innovative design solutions.
  • Preparing engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conducting site visits and oversee construction inspections or administration.
  • Preparing detailed technical reports documenting project progress and findings.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are self-driven, technically proficient, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Desired qualifications include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Licensure: Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana, or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
  • Experience: 2 to 8 years of experience in site development or municipal engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D and experience with roadways, utilities, and site grading.
  • Attributes: Superior attention to detail, technical proficiency, and desire to work as a team. Self-motivated and ability to work within established deadlines.
  • Commitment: A positive attitude and commitment to be an active participant in our employee-owned culture and alignment with RPA’s core values.
