Join ROBERT PECCIA & ASSOCIATES (RPA) as a Project Manager in our dynamic Transportation Planning and Operations Group. In this pivotal role, you will manage a variety of transportation planning and engineering projects throughout the northwest. Depending on your background, your work may encompass traffic engineering studies, active transportation plans, corridor studies, preliminary engineering designs, long-range transportation plans, and safety studies. What to Expect in this Position

  • Project Management: Manage multi-disciplinary transportation projects for agencies like MDT, FHWA, and local municipalities, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside a talented technical team focused on improving communities and fulfilling client expectations.
  • Business Development: Contribute to marketing and business development efforts within the Transportation Planning and Operations Group.
  • Support: Depending on your expertise, you will assist with technical report writing, preliminary engineering, traffic and safety analyses, and planning studies.

Qualifications

We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds in transportation planning or engineering, particularly those with a strong focus on project delivery, client management, and leadership. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, or related field.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana, Professional Transportation Planner (PTP), or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification; or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering or planning, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary project teams and building client relationships.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience managing projects including scope, schedule, and budget development and oversight, excellent written and spoken communication skills, attention to detail, and technical proficiency.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, collaborative, client service-oriented, adept at working under tight deadlines, and able to make informed, independent decisions.
  • Commitment: A positive attitude and commitment to be an active participant in our employee-owned culture and alignment with RPA’s core values.
