Montana City School Site Work and Sports Facilities - 2013
Montana City, Montana
Client: Montana City School District
With voter approval of a $5.7 million bond in November 2012, Montana City School was able to significantly expand its school facilities. The expansion included a new 8-classroom building addition, as well as site improvements and new outdoor athletic facilities.
RPA provided design and construction oversight of the site improvements and new athletic facilities. The primary project components included a 6-lane regulation 400-meter running track with decomposed granite surfacing, a little league baseball field, a tee-ball baseball field, two new parking lots, a regulation-sized football/soccer field on the infield of the running track, a new water service to the school and general grading and storm drainage improvements. In order to accommodate the students and staff at the school, the majority of the construction was expedited and completed during the summer break in 2013.
Burger King Site Development
RPA provide surveying and civil engineering design for the new Burger King in Kalispell, MT. The project included water and sewer services, storm water improvements, parking lot, concrete drive-thru, and sidewalks. RPA also provide a Traffic Impact Study of the facility and it’s impact on the existing transportation network. The project required that RPA coordinate with the Architect and other engineering consultants to facilitate the new drive-thru restaurant. The entire project was completed in the Fall of 2014.
Client: Bruce Boody Landscape Architect, Inc.
This project consisted of developing a new public park in Lakeside, Montana. The existing project site contained a hotel, small business office, parking areas and a residence. The project consisted of demolishing the existing improvements and developing the site into a new community park, aptly called Volunteer Park.
RPA provided civil engineering services to design improvements to Adams Street, a 37-stall asphalt parking lot, storm drainage, water and sewer improvements and ADA compliant bicycle/pedestrian paths through the park. RPA prepared civil technical specifications and construction drawings. During construction, RPA provided construction administration and observation for the project.
